about
"Sweet Satanist" is a home-recorded collaboration inspired by Forest's love for goth girls, '60s doo-wop and rock and roll music, and '90s pop-rock.
The basic tracks were recorded by Forest, Alex, and Patrick one day in late September of 2022, Forest and Patrick later finished up with the vocal, tambourine, and keyboard overdubs, and Forest mixed the song with some valuable notes from the fresh ears of friends.
How can I describe my bitter little honey?
I'd fail if I tried, cause for my money
She's a beast when she really wants to be,
But she's sweet like ice cream,
The woman of my darkest dreams.
She's a real sweet lady, she's a Satanist,
And I hope that I can sin enough to be with her forever.
My family saw her and thought I would go to hell.
They didn't seem to realize that long ago I fell
From grace and for her.
She's a real sweet lady, she's a Satanist,
And I hope that I can sin enough to be with her forever.
A far-left fantasy, a family woman,
A slayin' queer queen who's in love with a man like me,
She's a real sweet lady, she's a Satanist,
And I hope that I can sin enough to be with her forever.
She's a real sweet lady, she's a Satanist,
And I hope that I can sin enough to be with her forever.
